Q. I want to have my RV Transported. What do I have to do before the transporter arrives?
A. By following a few but important steps you can make sure that your Recreation Vehicle arrives safely to its destination. We recommend that you check with your transporter before preparing your camper as the transport company may have you perform additional procedures.
Make sure you secure and/or remove all loose items inside your RV. Picture, mirrors, and any hazardous materials such as weapons and chemicals should be properly stored or removed. Also it is very important that you secure each and every door with tape or rope. Removing any external accessories (antennas, satellite dishes) from your camper is also recommended. It is important to assess the air pressure in each tire. If any are low you must fill to the correct pressure. Many RV Transporters will not move your RV if this is not done. Make sure to check that the lights, tow bars and breaks are all in working order.
Having a RV transporter move your camper can be very safe if these few but important steps are followed. If you are not sure about a particular step please check with your transporter.
